Signature Requirements for Government Exam Portals
Every major Indian government exam portal requires a scanned copy of your signature uploaded as a JPG file within a specific size range. The signature is used to verify your identity during the examination process and must match your signature on the answer sheet. Uploading the wrong size or format causes an immediate rejection.

How to Get a Good Signature Scan
1Sign on white paper
Sign on plain white A4 paper using a black or blue ballpoint pen. Make the signature the same size as you normally sign on documents.
2Photograph in good light
Place the paper on a flat surface. Take a photo in good natural daylight from directly above. Avoid shadows across the signature.
3Crop and compress
Crop the image close to the signature before uploading. Use the Signature Size Fixer to compress to your target KB — usually 15KB is safe for all portals.
