How to Resize a Photo for Government Exam Portals
Government exam portals like SSC, UPSC, RRB, IBPS and Passport Seva all require photos within a specific file size range — typically 20KB to 50KB in JPG format. Phone camera photos are usually 2MB to 8MB, which is 40 to 160 times larger than the portal accepts. The Photo Size Fixer compresses your photo to the exact target in seconds.
All processing happens inside your browser using the Canvas API. Your photo is never uploaded to any server, never stored anywhere, and cannot be seen by anyone at PDF Vault. When you close the browser tab, everything is cleared from memory automatically.

Step-by-Step Guide
1Take or choose your photo
Use a recent photo with a plain white background. Good lighting from the front. Both ears visible, no glasses. Can be a selfie with the back camera or a photo taken by someone else.
2Upload to the tool
Click the upload area or drag your photo in. Accepts JPG, PNG and HEIC from phone gallery or computer. The file loads entirely in your browser — nothing is sent online.
3Select target size
Click a preset (10KB, 20KB, 50KB, 100KB) or type a custom value. For most SSC and UPSC exams, select 50KB. For stricter portals, select 20KB.
4Download and upload
Click Resize Photo and wait 2–3 seconds. Download the compressed file and upload it directly to your government portal.
